Intro

Attention sport stackers!  The World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) does not have any records for sport stacking in several states!  Let’s put our state on the map and find out how to set official records.

Task

The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to complete 3 goals:

  1. Find at least 7 states that have at least 10 or more records completed.
  2. Find out how students here can get records onto the WSSA website.
  3. Write about your favorite sport stacking champion from the WSSA website.

Process

  1. First, you’ll need the Sport Stacking Homework sheet to enter your findings.  Click HERE to download it.

  2. California is our example state to show you what to do.  Take a look at a few of the records:

  1. You’ll need to find 7 states have at least 10 individual records.  You can see that California has over 10 records (28, to be exact), so you can enter ‘California’ on your Sport Stacking Homework sheet.  Only states with 10 or more individual records count toward your total goal of finding 7 states. Enter California now, please, before you forget!  Next, you’ll go on the WSSA website to look for more states.  Click on the state you wish to look at on the right side of the browser.  Find and enter 7 states that have at least 10 individual records.

5.  Now that you’ve seen records, find out how someone can set a record.  You can go over how to set a record in one sentence with the first sentence about records from here (you were just there):

There are A LOT more rules about correct stacking technique which we will not cover here, though you are certainly welcome to look.

  1. Now pick a Champion from this link and explain why you like that individual:
