Introduction

This page heads the section on research projects. Currently there is too little linked to them to break each off as its own page, but at some point it might be necessary to do so.

I've had a great time working on research projects and learned a great deal from each of them. It's something every undergraduate (especially in math, science, or engineering) should be involved with as a way to broaden their horizons and build their resumes.

Parametric Estimation For SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography)

This is an active project with Dr. Arkady Shemyakin at the University of Saint Thomas supported though the University of Saint Thomas Center for Applied Mathematics. At this point it is (almost) completely hosted off it's CAM Project Page.

I presented work related to this project was presented as a contributed AMS talk at the 2008 Joint Mathematical Meeting in San Diego, CA.

Exact Solution of an Overdetermined System

This is an active project with Dr. Yongzhi (Peter) Yang and fellow student Luke Edholm at the University of Saint Thomas supported though the University of Saint Thomas Center for Applied Mathematics. At this point it is (almost) completely hosted off it's CAM Project Page.

Luke Edholm presented work related to this project was presented as a contributed AMS talk at the 2008 Joint Mathematical Meeting in San Diego, CA.

Intra- and Inter-generational College Attendance Patterns

This is an inactive project with Dr. Arkady Shemyakin and Dr. Brenda Teifenbruck at the University of Saint Thomas and was supported by a University of Saint Thomas Yong Scholars Grant.

Work related to this project was presented at the 2007 Argonne Undergraduate Symposium at the Argonne National Labratory in Illinois.
