Marc and Terry's Most Excellent River Adventure

Photo Tour:  You can take a photo tour of Terry and Marc's August of 2005 trip, from put in at Coon Rapids to take out at Grey Cloud Island.

The Friends of the Mississippi is a non-profit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota.  As part of their mission, they offer various programs on the history, geology, nature/wildlife, and water quality of the Mississippi River.  Please check them out and support them if you can.

Second Annual: In 2004 they organized the first annual Mississippi River Challenge, a two day, 44 mile paddle through the heart of the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota.  In 2005, Terry and Marc took up and survived the challenge. We'll be there in 2006 as well!

Fund Raiser: By the way, together Terry and Marc raised almost $1000, so thanks very much to all those who helped us out, and really, who helped do your part for our nation's main artery, The Big Muddy (which is actually quite sandy in much of Minnesota and Wisconsin).

Sponsors:  The Mississippi River has many friends.  I use a Wenonah Adirondack model canoe. Summit Beer donated a canoe full of beer to the event.
